Makeup can do some pretty amazing things. It can cover up
imperfections like pimples and under eye circles and open up your eyes.
But did you also know that makeup can help slim the face and enhance
your features? It is not difficult at all, either! Whether you want to
highlight your cheekbone or slim your nose, you can do so with bronzer
and highlighter.
Here are a few ways you can contour your face with makeup:
Apply Foundation - Before you begin contouring your face, you
should apply foundation to even out your skin tone. Make sure your
foundation matches your skin tone, otherwise it will not look
flattering. If you are not sure about the best color for you, consult
with a makeup professional at a department store. Create a flawless
finish by applying your foundation with a flat-top brush or a cosmetic
sponge. I suggest applying it in front of a sunny window to get the best
application. If you need more coverage, apply concealer to any
imperfections after you put on your foundation.
Add Bronzer - A good bronzer will add depth to your face.
Choose a bronzer that is not too shimmery. Bronzers with a lot of
shimmer do not look very natural. Take an angled brush and begin
applying the bronzer underneath your cheekbones. Make sure to get the
color from the hairline to just underneath the apples of your cheeks. It
helps to suck in your cheeks for this part. Then, apply bronzer down
the bridge of your nose to slim it and across your forehead to minimize
width.
Put Blush On - Blush will complement the bronzer nicely. Apply a
pink or peach powder blush across your cheekbones with a blush brush.
Blush gives the skin a beautiful glow.
Highlight Your Features - Enhance your best features with a
powder highlighter. For example, you can sweep some highlighting powder
on top of your cheeks, along your brow bones and down your temples. You
can also apply the highlighter to the center of your lips to accentuate
them.
Once you get the hang of it, contouring your face should not take
longer than 10 minutes. Bronzer and highlighter are great for
accentuating your best features and minimizing areas that are too wide.
Always remember that less is more. Start out with a small amount of
bronzer and add more later if it's necessary.
